We’ve been focussing on everything A-list in the blog for the last couple of weeks, so now it’s time to turn our attention to our top tips on how you can create your very own celebrity wedding day.
1. Rock an enormous engagement ring
Every A-list fairy tale wedding has to start with an equally romantic proposal and engagement that sets the tone for the wedding to come. We suggest asking your beau to propose with a rock that’s worth more than the price of an average house in the Cotswolds, something that makes lifting your hand a real chore and gives you a workout every time you pick up the phone.

2. Emphasise the importance of your privacy
The next step is to give plenty of interviews explaining how important it is for you to hold a personal, private and intimate wedding celebration that will just involve you and your beloved’s nearest and dearest. Next, engage in a bidding war with every celebrity magazine going and offer up exclusive coverage in OK! or Hello magazine in return for a payment that will almost certainly cover the cost of (most of) your blingy plans.

3. A-list attendants
Don’t forget to ensure you’re not the only famous faces in the official photographs! The paparazzi love a celebrity best man or bridesmaid so give them what they want with your A-list attendants. Ideally, you can call on the services of your siblings who will hopefully also be as well known as you. You know they’re going to turn up on the day and they’ll definitely boost interest in your nuptials.
Celebrity Inspiration: Paris Hilton (bridesmaid for sister Nicky), Cara Delevingne (bridesmaid for sister Poppy), Beyonce (bridesmaid for bandmate Kelly Rowland)
4. Over the top attire
Forget elegant and understated and make a statement with your wedding outfit. Choose something vast, voluminous and vaguely bonkers to make sure that your wedding day will be the most talked about for years to come.
Celebrity Inspiration: Gwen Stefani’s ombre pink gown, Anne Hathaway’s bizarre head piece, Angelina Jolie’s wedding dress covered in her children’s scribblings
5. Bust the budget
One of the simplest, sure fire ways to get your wedding noticed is by boasting about your super huge budget. There are so many ways you can emphasise the point that you’re wealthier than most countries, so why not transport all your guests via private jet, book out every hotel and restaurant in the entire area, and go all out with a no fly zone? That way there can be no doubt that money really can buy almost everything!
Celebrity Inspiration: The Duke & Duchess of Cambridge – wedding budget £31 million, Kim Kardashian & Kris Humphries – wedding budget £4 million – a truly eye watering investment for a union that lasted a mere 72 days
6. Stack up the stars
If you’re worried that you and the family just won’t cut it, then grab your iPhone and start listing every name of anyone you’ve ever brushed up against on the red carpet. It helps here if you’re a true A-lister and have the pulling power of Beyonce to boost your invitation appeal.
Celebrity Inspiration: Paul McCartney & Heather Mills – guests included Ringo Starr, Sir Elton John and Eric Clapton. David Gest & Liza Minnelli – guests included Stevie Wonder, Natalie Cole and Tony Bennett. Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes – guests included Will Smith, Jim Carrey, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony with music provided by Andrea Bocelli
